Antique wall match safe from cast iron, This "antique match safe" dates from mid to late 19th century and is American. This "match safe" has a leaf and berry design. Match safes were used to hold strike any where matches to light stoves,oil lamps or fires in a fire place. Measures 5 and one half inches high and 3 and one half inches wide. They are a great addition to any home.
